$688,001 of fee revenue in August 2026 — 3.3× July, and an operating profit of +$105,828 after the entire cost base and every dollar of growth spend. August is a closed month, not a projection; lifetime fees are $1,374,204 since the first fee on 10 May 2026.
The perpetuals DEX is ours: order book, matching, funding, liquidations. Live 4 August, $366.4M of round-turn client notional and $359,572 of fees in its first month across 20 markets at 9.81 bps, from 306 client accounts. Market making is software — 293,250 venue fills, a −$61,317 book result, zero human dealers.
99.8% of fee revenue comes from repeat traders. 71.0% return the following week, 61.2% are still trading two weeks later, and 56.8% of July’s fee payers paid again in August. 203 core traders — 39.6% of fee payers — generate 95.3% of fees at $3,226 each a month.
Growth costs nothing up front. $396,367 of growth spend, 57.6% of fees, every dollar a share of revenue already earned: $189,712 in prizes to 139 users, $128,210 to partners and to traders as fee rebates, the rest making users whole. No brand budget, no paid media. Figures are on an earned-period basis — $34,595 paid in August but earned in July sits in July.
Read the user counts carefully. Between 29 July and 19 August, 1,988 registrations came from two bulk disposable-mail domains and 2.4% of that cohort has ever paid a fee, so registered accounts and monthly actives are inflated while revenue, fee payers and volume are not.
The exit rate is softer than the month. The final week of August ran at $125,323, an implied $537k a month, because season and race prizes concentrated activity mid-month. Spot has gone quiet post-season, so perpetuals were 97% of that exit rate.
